It’s been many years since i started to use your plug-in.

Unfortunately i still have an issue i have been unable to fix until now.

Like you could see on my website, clicking on a smiley generate two smilies instead of one.

I have been searching everywhere but nothing found yet.

This is the only point i want to fix on my website and i would really appreciate your help.

Since a few days clickin’ on smilies doesn’t affect the comments box (f.e. at http://www.tapanez.com ). I’ve tried on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, same results. WordPress version is 3.4.1

As I said plugin was working great until a few days, don’t remember having changed something.

The line is on my footer.php file 😉

How would one go about displaying the text/code that inserts the smiley inline through the use of a tooltip (i.e.when visitors hover their mouse over the smiley they’ll be able to see what the particular text/code invoked the smiley)?
This would be particularly useful for smilies with multiple input codes and help visitors make further use of the smilies.

Tooltips already seem to work in the admin and toolbar panel, but not in the comments panel or inline text.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this, or is this perhaps an option that could be included in a future update?

The plugin generated 2 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

I just got this error on my pages, why is this happening?

I used the code
#smilies_toolbar img {display: inline;}
and it worked for me!

Hi, this is actually an issue in Smilies Themer, and not in my plugin. However I wrote a patch for that plugin some time ago to fix it (as you can see on my site), you can download it here.
You must overwrite the corresponding files in the smilies-themer plugin directory.

I also mailed the author but he didn’t merge it into the plugin. Maybe you could try to ask him again? 🙂

Hi, you can add that line at the end of your CSS file located at:
/wp-content/themes/Diabolik V1/css/main.css

It maybe because I have a custom theme, but this line of code did not work. My style.css sheet doesn’t have any actual code in it though so maybe I am placing it in the wrong file or…?

Hi, you should add this code to your CSS file:

#smilies_toolbar img {display: inline;}

^^ Ok, yours parses ok, but most done. The middle smiley is just in the raw text format.

May I suggest one change?

When a user on the site clicks three times on a smiley (the same one), the system fails to convert the middle smiley.

See if yours does it:
😀 😀 😀

If you change:
commentbox.insertAtCaret(text);
To:
commentbox.insertAtCaret(” “+text+” “);

That solved all my problems:
