Signore e signori, ecco a vuoi un nuovo tema per Polpoino Droidi, si tratta di Mystique, mi pare davvero ben fatto, a voi le critiche!

Era un po’ di tempo che non facevo aggiornamenti a Wordpress.com Popular Posts, ma dopo un piccolo fix, e passati alla versione 1.3.5, noto con stupore e piacere che in due giorni è stato scaricato ben 600 volte!

Ehi, sono ancora vivo!

E’ successo un gran casino, evidentemente quelli dello staff di netsons non gradiscono che io sia appassionato di sicurezza e cerchi di trovare ogni falla.

Fanculo.

Comunque, rieccomi qua, e tra l’altro con il nuovo DOMINIO http://polpoinodroidi.com tutto mio! :-)

Sto sbattendo la testa con mille problemi nella migrazione di wordpress, ma per ora va quasi tutto bene.

L’hosting è il Big1 di NetSons, che per 12.70€/anno mi da un sacco (sacchissimo!) di roba. Mi sembra che sia molto più reattivo del vecchio hosting free, sempre offerto da loro. L’uptime è lo stesso un po’ bassino (95%), ma spero migliori :-)

Wordpress Adsense Manager: errore 400 – Bad Request

Mi sono accorto che sul mio blog da una settimana circa non venivano più visualizzati i messaggi pubblicitari forniti da AdSense, e addirittura sotto IE compariva al loro posto un iframe contenente l’errore 400: Bad request.

Dopo aver imparato un antico dialetto chichewa, ed averlo messo in pratica bestemmiando in tal lingua, ho scoperto che il plugin Adsense Manager si era sconfigurato da una settimana: aveva perso l’impostazione dell’Account ID (l’ho notato analizzando il sorgente HTML della pagina)

Se non sapete di cosa sto parlando, è un codice numerico di un po’ di cifre, per scoprirlo:

Andate su https://www.google.com/adsense/ e loggatevi, apparirà in alto a destra, dopo “pub-”:

ID publisher: pub-124531265341523

Per ripristinarlo, andare su Gestione -> Adsense Units -> Edit Network -> reinserire il proprio Account ID.

Ebbene, oggi ecco che Polpoino Droidi raggiunge le 10.000 (quanti zeri!) visite.

Sono su piattaforma WordPress dal 10/12/2007, quindi sono passati 5 mesi e mezzo.

Ringrazio di cuore tutti quelli che sono passati, ed hanno lasciato il loro contributo, sempre apprezzato, su queste pagine virtuali.

L’impennata di visite l’ho avuta grazie ai plugin per WordPress che ho sviluppato, quindi il mio grazie va anche a questa efficiente piattaforma di Blogging.

Now you can download the smilies theme that I use on this WordPress Blog.

The icons come from Pidgin, the great instant messaging software.

Installation

  1. If you haven’t yet, install Smilies Themer plugin (download .zip archive, extract the contents into the folder /wp-content/plugins/, activate the plugin inside your wordpress admin page)
  2. Download my Pidgin Theme package below;
  3. Go to Settings –> Smilies Themer, choose the “Pidgin” theme, and click on Update settings.
  4. Optionally you can install my Smilies Themer Toolbar plugin, to easily add custom smilies to comments.

Potete finalmente scaricare il pacchetto di smilies che utilizzo in questo blog su WordPress.

Le icone sono quelle di default nell’ottimo programma di messaggistica istantanea Pidgin, che consiglio a tutti.

Installazione:

  1. Se non l’avete ancora fatto, installate il plugin Smilies Themer (scaricate il file .zip, estraetene il contenuto nella cartella /wp-content/plugins/, e attivate il plugin nella pagina di amministrazione)
  2. Scaricate qui sotto il mio pacchetto Pidgin Theme, ed estraete la cartella pidgin nella directory /wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer.
  3. Andate su Impostazioni –> Smilies Themer, selezionate il tema “Pidgin”, e clickate su Aggiorna opzioni.
  4. Opzionalmente potete installare il mio plugin Smilies Themer Toolbar per permettere ai visitatori di inserire con facilità gli smilies nei commenti.

Grazie al recente sviluppo di un paio di plugins per WordPress, ecco che la quantità di accessi al mio blog si è moltiplicata! (si, ok, era un periodo di accessi pressochè nulli!), e ho cominciato ad essere linkato pian pianino su vari siti. Yeah.

Si, lo so, sono cifre bassissime! Ma forse siamo sulla buona strada.

Su, non mi augurate un in bocca al lupo? ;-) E fatevi sotto con le idee per i plugins, ci penso io a svilupparli :-D

Ho creato un plugin per WordPress che permette ai visitatori di aggiungere con facilità gli smileys (faccine, emoticons, sgorbietti) ai commenti.

Lo potete vedere in azione nell’area commenti alla fine di ogni post di questo blog.

Se vi piace potete scaricarlo, richiede il plugin Smilies Themer, che vi consente di cambiare con facilità gli smileys sul vostro blog.

Smilies Themer Toolbar

Smilies Themer Toolbar provides a toolbar to easily add custom smilies to comments.

It integrates with Smilies Themer plugin, and therefore requires it.

You can change your smilies theme in your blog, and the toolbar is automagically updated!

Installation

  • Download and install Smilies Themer plugin (required)
  • Download Smilies Themer Toolbar v1.4.1
  • Extract the files in the .zip archive, and upload them (including subfolders) to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  • Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  • Enjoy!

Theme integration

By default, Smilies Themer Toolbar is placed after the comments form, but if you want to put it in a nicer position, don’t worry, it isn’t that difficult.

Edit your theme and put this code where you want to show the toolbar:
